About CADD – Community Against Drunken Driving
CADD – Community Against Drunken Driving is dedicated to preventing the dangers of drunk driving while respecting the legal rights of adults to make personal choices about alcohol consumption. Our mission is to address the severe consequences of drunk driving in India by equipping citizens, road users, and youth with the knowledge to make informed decisions around alcohol. Through sustained awareness and engagement initiatives, we aim to foster responsibility and informed choices across diverse segments of society.
Founded in 2001, CADD is India’s pioneering community movement focused on developing societal responsibility to reduce drunk driving incidents and prevent underage drinking. To date, we have conducted over 2,000 awareness campaigns across 25 states, reaching approximately 200 million people. Our efforts have garnered support from over 600 celebrities, amplifying our message and impact nationwide.
As an advocacy organization, we are committed to eliminating drunk driving and underage drinking by driving behavioral change through community engagement, promoting legislative amendments, and advancing judicial activism for stricter enforcement.
CADD is a registered non-profit organization under Section XXI of the Societies Registration Act of 1860, with tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
